RESEARCH  TOGETHER
A Collaborative Teacher Research Network

Teachers: Join now!

Let your teacher-voice be heard!

Want to help education research be more sensitive to the perspectives of teachers?

Research Together is a network that connects teachers and researchers with the common goal of producing high-quality education research. We believe that research in education has often overlooked teachers' perspectives and, in creating Research Together, we aim to connect researchers conducting cutting-edge studies with teachers willing to share their perspectives.

Education research should reflect and respond to the questions, concerns, and realities of current educators. By joining Research Together, you'll have a chance to offer your perspective to ongoing research projects. Moreover, teachers will be able to share with researchers what type of research would be most helpful to you and your students in the classroom - directly shaping the future of educational research!

How We Work

Teachers:
  1. Sign up by filling out a short questionnaire.
  2. Receive up to 2 online study invitations a month via email. Studies will vary in topic, including teaching practices, classroom culture, student motivation, and more.
  3. Participate in research that is directly relevant to you and your community and get compensated at least $20/hour for your time and expertise.
  4. Shape ongoing and future education research!
 Researchers:
  1. 1. Design your study and obtain necessary IRB-approval with your institution.
  2. 2. Obtain funding sources for compensating the participants for their time and expertise.
  3. 3. Contact us with the details of your study and start valuable education research!

Behind the Scenes:

We became friends over our shared passions for research and for improving education. That's why we created Research Together.

Shannon is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Wake Forest University. She received her PhD in Education from Stanford University in 2018. Prior to graduate school, Shannon was a middle and elementary school teacher for five years in South Dakota.

Camilla is a research scientist at the Stanford SPARQ research center. She received her PhD in Social Psychology from Stanford University in 2021.
